AAMFT Approved Supervision

Looking for approved supervision hours as an MFT? I’m an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Approved Supervisor, and I’d love to work with you!

In addition to being an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, I also have the Training Supervisory Designation through the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist (CSWMFT) Board.

This all means that our supervision meetings qualify as AAMFT Approved Supervision. In particular, if you’re an MFT in Ohio, our training supervision meetings would count towards your required supervision hours. To get more information about the Ohio CSWMFT Board’s requirements, see here.

Presently, I provide training supervision to Marriage and Family Therapists who are practicing at other sites or agencies under a site/clinical supervisor of another discipline. So, as your training supervisor, I would specifically support your development as a systemic therapist as you’re working towards your MFT licensure.

Here’s a little bit about my approach to AAMFT Approved Supervision:

I provide a supportive, strength-based, and collaborative setting to foster your growth and development as a systemic therapist.

I strive to encourage open processing, exploring, and strengthening of your therapeutic methods and techniques from a systemic lens. We’ll set goals for our work together, and identify your strengths and areas of continued growth as a clinician. Additionally, I’ll support your increased awareness and insight into self-of-the-therapist factors. All the while, we consistently prioritize an ethically sound practice and top quality mental healthcare for the clients you serve.

Wondering how to get things started?

We can set up an initial consultation call where I can answer any questions that you may have. You can expect me to ask you about your current clinical environment, any past clinical experiences, and what you’re looking for now in supervision. We’ll talk through the process a bit, and hopefully by the end of the call you’ll get a sense of what you can expect from me as a supervisor.

Reach out, here. I would be so glad to hear from you!
