Welcome to Clarity Together!

Offering trauma informed and relationship enhancing individual and couples therapy in Cincinnati, OH and Philadelphia, PA

I’m Sarah Kennedy, and I’m glad you’re here. I help young adults, adults, and couples find clarity and connection in themselves and their relationships by breaking free from what is holding them back.

I specialize in Couples Therapy and Trauma Therapy, offering EMDR Therapy and more.

Even the most ambitious, well-informed, and ready people can struggle with figuring out how to empower the life and relationships that they really want.

Many of my clients have felt this way. They decide to start therapy because they’ve been feeling anxious, unhappy or unsure. Real barriers, either from the past or in the present, are impacting their ability to find the clarity and ease they are hoping for in their lives or relationships.

Whether you’re looking for therapy for yourself or for you and your partner, it’s possible you’ve been wondering what you should be doing differently — or even tried to make changes yourself — but nothing seems to be clicking. It can feel impossible to get unstuck, and you may be at a loss.

Maybe you’ve even found yourself wondering why other people seem to be doing okay, or why other relationships seem so easy, but you just can’t seem to get it right. Sometimes this even leads to feeling more disconnected, more overwhelmed, and more confused in yourself or your relationships.

You might feel intimidated by the idea of starting therapy or of opening yourself up to a stranger. Maybe you’re not sure where to even begin. I get that – it can be really hard to be vulnerable. Luckily, you don’t have to figure this out on your own. Together, we can discover the life that you’re hoping for.

You can feel connected and empowered in your life and your relationships.

You can feel rooted in the present, not held back by the past, and confident in looking forward.

You can find the most authentic version of yourself.

Let’s do it!

As a mental health therapist trained as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I offer client centered therapy in Philadelphia and Cincinnati.

Here’s how I approach my work:

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe that the systems that we live in (for example: relationships, environments, cultures, or contexts) have an impact on how we feel, how we think, and how we interact and relate to the world around us. Because of this, I seek to understand the unique aspects that have influenced you, and how these factors may shape your current thoughts, feelings, and needs. By first understanding you better as a person, we can best collaborate towards your individualized mental health goals.

I believe that we can all find ourselves dealing with challenges or obstacles in our lives or our relationships, and sometimes this can leave us feeling pretty stuck. I see this as natural. We’re human, and being human is complicated! I value creating a space where you can explore all of the complicated (and sometimes messy) things that we struggle with as humans. I will accept you just as you are, while creating a space for you to openly explore your unique path to authenticity and empowerment. You don’t have to do this alone!

Mission Statement

In a culture where we are often told how we should define ourselves — or how to act, feel or think— we can feel powerless to create and live the life that we want. Clarity Together, LLC is committed to compassionately supporting individuals and couples in breaking down the barriers that are limiting or constraining them so that they can reclaim the most authentic versions of themselves and their relationships.

Clarity Together, LLC recognizes the oppression that exists within the systems that our culture has been built on, and the impact this has especially on communities of color and LGBTQ+ communities. We are committed to the internal and external work of challenging and dismantling this oppression. We are anti-racist, LGBTQ+ affirmative, and committed to consistently elevating the voices of those whom oppressive systems attempt to silence.
