Welcome to Clarity Together!
Offering Individual and Couples Therapy in Cincinnati, OH and Philadelphia, PA
I’m Sarah Kennedy. I help young adults, adults, and couples find clarity and connection in themselves and their relationships by breaking free from what’s holding them back.
Even the most ambitious, well-informed, and ready people can struggle with figuring out how to empower the life and relationships that they really want.
Many of my clients can relate to that. They decide to start therapy because they notice that they’ve been feeling anxious, unhappy or unsure. Real barriers, either from the past or in the present, have been impacting their ability to find the clarity and ease they are hoping for in their lives or their relationships.
I offer EMDR Therapy, Couples Therapy, Trauma Therapy and more.
Whether you’re looking for therapy for yourself or for you and your partner, it’s possible you’ve been wondering what you should be doing differently (or even tried out some ideas), but nothing seems to be clicking. It can feel impossible to figure out how to get unstuck, and you may be at a loss.
Maybe you’ve even found yourself wondering why other people seem to be doing okay, or why other relationships seem so easy, but you just can’t seem to get it right. Sometimes this even leads to feeling more disconnected, more overwhelmed, and more unclear in your self or relationships.
You might feel like starting therapy is too intimidating or too vulnerable. Maybe you’re not even sure where to begin. I get that. It can be really hard to share all of the parts of your self with a stranger. And yet you don’t have to figure this out on your own. Together, we can discover the life that you’re hoping for.
You can feel connected and empowered in your life and your relationships.
You can feel rooted in the present, not held back by the past, and confident in looking forward.
You can find the most authentic version of yourself.
As a mental health therapist trained as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I offer client centered therapy in Philadelphia and Cincinnati.
Here’s a bit more about my approach:
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe that the systems that we live in (for example: relationships, environments, cultures, or contexts) have an impact on how we feel, how we think, and how we interact and relate to the world around us. Because of this, I seek to understand the unique aspects that have influenced you, and how these factors may shape your current thoughts, feelings, and needs. This helps me to understand you better as a person, so that we can best collaborate towards your mental health goals.
I believe that we can all find ourselves dealing with challenges or obstacles in our life or our relationships, and sometimes this can leave us feeling pretty stuck. I see this as natural. We’re human, and being human is complicated! I value creating a space for you where you can explore all of the complicated (and sometimes messy) things that we struggle with as humans. I will accept you just as you are, while creating a space for you to openly explore your unique path to authenticity and empowerment. You don’t have to do this alone!
